Three details, in detail.
What the car looked like, what it took, and how long it took — drag the handle on each slider to compare.
Toyota Highlander — three years of two kids and a dog.
Goldfish ground into the seat fabric, juice-box stains down the back of the front seats, dog hair fused into the carpet, fogged-up windows from a winter of wet boots.
Full interior strip-out — all four floor mats shampooed separately, hot-water extraction on the seats and rear carpet, pet hair lifted with a rubber rake before vacuum, every plastic surface wiped with a neutral cleaner, glass done last so no streaks.
About 2 hours, 15 minutes.
VW Golf R — carpet that hadn't been touched in 60k miles.
Salt rings from two Virginia winters, a coffee spill that had been driven on for weeks, ground-in grit along the driver's heel pad turning the carpet two shades darker than the rest.
Pre-treated the salt and coffee with a citrus pre-spray, agitated by hand with a soft drill brush, then a full hot-water extraction pass. Repeated on the heel pad area until the rinse water came back clear.
About 1 hour, 40 minutes — interior carpet only.
Porsche Cayenne — six months of driveway dust and pollen.
Heavy pollen film baked into the clear coat after a hot spring week, brake dust crusted onto the wheels, water spots along the doors from the lawn sprinklers.
Foam cannon pre-soak to lift the pollen safely, two-bucket hand wash, dedicated wheel cleaner with a soft-face brush on each spoke, clay-bar pass on the lower panels where the water spots had etched in, hand dry with plush microfiber.
About 1 hour, 30 minutes.
